Hereford Jive & Swing was founded in December 2009 by a group of local dancers (not teachers) frustrated at the lack of local dances. During 2010 we organised a series of dances in Hereford, mainly 'record hops' but some bands also. In January 2011 Susan took over the solo running and organisation of the group and, after a year of several sell-out band nights alongside regular 'record hops', 2012 sees an expanded programme (see below). The Group is non-profitmaking with any proceeds going to cover investment in equipment and music, and to subsidise an increasing programme of live bands. The more support the dances get, the more we can organise - so come along and have some fun! And please give feedback!

Dancers of all styles are welcome, as are non-dancing partners who want to listen and watch. If you're a beginner or rusty, the dances are a great place to gain confidence and practise moves - especially the 'record hops' which are more relaxed than 'band nights'. If you have no partner, don't worry - we're a friendly lot and there are plenty of 'singles', so you won't be left out.

Directions
The Club is on the B4361 in the centre of Leominster. As you are coming south out of town, it's on the left just after the road turns sharply right.

If you are coming through Leominster you follow the road around until you get to a big junction with Kwikfit tyres and Texaco garage on your right. At this point go straight on and you will come to a roundabout with Aldi supermarket ahead and the bus station on your left. Turn left and you will get to a mini roundabout with the 'Euphoric nightclub' in an old school building ahead of you. Take the junction to the right of the nightclub and the RBL club is the next building on the left.

If you're travelling north, from the Hereford direction
take the left turn at Marlbrook, opposite the Cadbury's site, and drive into Leominster on the back road. As you enter the town, the RBL Club is on the right just before a sharp left hand bend. The Club is a modern square 'box' building that is set back from the road in a large car park. There is an children's toy shop on the right immediately before it, with a prominent sign. If you accidently go too far you will come to a mini roundabout with the 'Euphoric nightclub' in an old school building - go around the roundabout and retrace your steps. RBL is actually next to the 'Euphoric' site.
